It is one of the important venue for ODI and tests in India. The most important semi finals of 2011 world cup between India and Pakistan is played here. It is the home ground for Punjab and IPL team Kings XI Punjab. The stadium has a spectator capacity of 28000. It is the home ground for cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh.It is one of the very few world class cricket stadiums in India.
