It was main cricket stadium for Bangladesh before Sher-E-Bangla Stadium. Now this stadium hosts foot ball matches. This stadium has hosted many ODI and test matches. This is the stadium which hosted the opening ceremony of 2011 Cricket world cup.It has the capacity of 36000.
